So my friends and I ate a little over half of the zebra bundt cake, but then Rachel and Josh went out of town and it got to the point where I wasn’t sure if it was a good idea to eat it anymore. Since the cake hit its one week bakeday today, I deemed it finally inedible which was confirmed by a couple fuzzy spots that had started to develop on the ganache. Ick!
But of course I couldn’t just throw it away…I dissected it!
Still looks pretty! :)
And guess what I got in the mail today??
Thanks for the button, Mary the Food Librarian (and JustJenn)! Mary posted her National Bundt Day 2010 Round Up today, and it’s super impressive. My bundt is in there! :) I can honestly say I’ve never seen so many bundts in my life. Check it out!

hehe at least you admit to eating half of it… I LOVE bundts.. they are moist, dense, oh.. and of course super DELISH. They are perfect for entertaining too, they always look tidy and perfect.

I’m jealous! Of your beautiful bundt (that striping is fantastic), your awesome button, and your ridiculous “too many dicks on the dancefloor” shirt. You get a standing ovation, lady. ^_^

Beth – I was so excited to get mine, I may have let out a little squee!
girl japan – Yeah, bundts are great! Looking forward to making more now that I’m no longer scared of them.
Mary – Ahhhh, are you a FOTC fan, too?!
Victoria – Zebra cakes FTW!

Bummer about the leftover bundt going fuzzy! Although the dissected pictures sure are pretty :) When it gets stale (but before the fuzzy parts!) you can always make great bread pudding with leftover cake, too.
Congrats on the bundt button!
