It’s been a dream of my dad’s to renovate* an old Airstream and drive across the US to see the national parks. (*This would be one sweet ride…he is a master craftsman!) Since this hasn’t happened yet, my parents flew up to Wyoming a few years ago to explore Yellowstone for a couple weeks.
While there, he found a beer that he really liked: Moose Drool Brown Ale by Big Sky Brewing Co. in Montana. My sister and I were a bit shocked I think because he’s always been a Miller Light (eww) drinker. I’m pretty sure he tried the Drool purely because of its name…
If you haven’t figured it out by now, I’m just a little bit crazy. Last night I had a dream about Colin Firth, and it was a typically (not atypically) weird one.
This friend of mine called me up and told me to go with her to this place because Colin Firth was going to be there. I’m not sure what or where this place was, but we went. Lo and behold, there was Colin Firth and his wife sitting at one of the many picnic tables! Maybe this dream wasn’t very realistic because no one was bothering them. My friend sat next to CF, and I sat next to his wife. I might point out now that he was wearing a hideous sweater à la Mr. Darcy in Bridget Jones, but that it was somehow Nickelodeon-related instead of Christmasy. (I really hope that it was SpongeBob.) I am happy to report that I actually followed through with the promise I made last post! …sort of, anyway. I did go to the new Y nearby that claimed to have a pool, but after I filled out the membership paperwork, I left. What’s that? No swimming? Not when it’s a kiddie pool! (What the heck?!)
The next morning I did find another Y with a lap pool, but it’s kind of in a shady part of town. I swam! Lots of water was accidentally consumed! Today I went back and it was much better! Exclamation mark!
Anyway, it seems that when I physically exert myself, I feel like I need to eat more veggies. Today I poured carrot juice into my kale smoothie. It was good and made me feel like the paradigm of health. But a girl needs some protein too, right?
How have I never posted anything with peanut butter and chocolate??
It’s totally one of my favorite combos, so this is blasphemy.
But guess what? Yesterday I hooked these two up in a tasty way: peanut butter frosting-topped chocolate cupcakes!
Tomorrow is Jill’s birthday, but a group of us celebrated it last night. Chocolate/peanut butter is her favorite combo, so while I was unsure of what to make her, there was never a question in the flavor department. Continue reading
Who likes peanut butter, banana, and honey sandwiches?? If you’re ever forced to be on a liquid diet (wisdom teeth?), you’re in luck! Well, you’re also in luck if you like smoothies.
Legend has it that peanut butter banana smoothies are pretty epic, so I finally made one this morning. Mm-mmm, gooood! It was super creamy, and not overly sweet. The hardest part is cleaning the blender. Continue reading
